C2PA
An open standard for attaching tamper-evident provenance metadata to media.
Definition
C2PA is an open standard for content provenance and authenticity that attaches cryptographically signed metadata describing how a piece of media was created and edited. It lets viewers check where an image, video, or audio file came from and whether it was AI-generated or altered. The aim is to support trust and traceability as synthetic media becomes more common.
