Jev

TypeSafe AI's decision model — it takes content plus typed questions and returns answers with confidence scores, not text.

Definition

Jev is the first model from the startup TypeSafe AI, released in September 2026, and the launch that popularized the idea of a decision model. You give it a block of information along with a set of typed questions — pick a category, give a score, answer yes or no — and it evaluates them all at once, returning structured answers with calibrated confidence rather than written text. TypeSafe describes it as a 'System One' model, a nod to the psychology idea of fast, intuitive judgment as opposed to slow deliberate reasoning. It is sold as a hosted paid API, works on text only, and accepts inputs of roughly 32,000 tokens.
