Muse

Meta's consumer AI agent that carries out real tasks like booking, shopping, and email on a person's behalf.

Definition

Muse is a personal AI agent from Meta, launched in September 2026, built to take real-world tasks off a person's plate rather than just answer questions. It can do things like book appointments, buy tickets, send emails, and pursue longer-term goals, working through apps a person already uses and continuing a task in the background after they close the app. It runs on a dedicated secure virtual computer with its own browser, and it pauses to ask for approval before consequential steps like sending a message or making a purchase. It launched in the United States with a free tier and two paid tiers, and is built on Meta's Muse Spark model family.
