Definition
Self-refine prompting asks a model to produce an initial answer, then generate a critique of it, and finally write a revised version that incorporates that feedback. The loop can run for several rounds. It is a simple way to lift quality on complex or creative tasks without external tools or extra models, at the cost of extra processing and a slower response.
