SWE-bench Pro

A harder, contamination-resistant successor to SWE-bench, testing coding agents on enterprise-scale repos.

Definition

SWE-bench Pro is a large-scale coding benchmark built to be harder and more resistant to benchmark contamination than the original SWE-bench. It draws real issues from professional-scale repositories, including strongly copyleft-licensed open-source projects (whose license discourages their inclusion in training data) and private commercial codebases contributed by startups, so a model can't simply have memorized the answers. Because the tasks are longer and more realistic, top coding agents score far lower on it than on SWE-bench Verified, making it a stress test for genuine software-engineering ability rather than pattern recall.
