Definition
Training is the process of teaching an AI model by showing it many examples and gradually adjusting its internal numbers so its outputs improve. It is usually the most time- and compute-intensive stage of building a model, and it happens in stages such as broad pretraining followed by fine-tuning for specific tasks.
