Claude Fable is the publicly available version of Anthropic's most capable, Mythos-class models, which sit above the Opus tier. It is strong at software engineering, knowledge work, and vision and can work on its own for long stretches, but it enforces hard safety limits in high-risk areas. It shares its underlying model with the restricted Claude Mythos.
