Human Approval Gate

A required human checkpoint before a risky action is allowed to proceed.

Definition

A human approval gate is a checkpoint where an agent must pause and get explicit human sign-off before taking a risky or irreversible action, such as sending money, deleting data, or publishing content. It places a person in control at the moments that matter most while letting routine steps run automatically. Gates are a common way to add oversight without supervising every step.
